25 Jun Revolutionize Your Sales Strategy with Our New Tool!
Do you have products that you would like to sell with a minimum quantity for purchase or even things you don’t want to open a case? This feature is for you!
Now there is a Sales Strategy tool available in the product record.
How does it work and what do things mean?
Minimum:
If “Minimum” is selected, any sale created for this item will only allow the specified minimum quantity or greater to be sold when any sale is created for this item.
Example: If this is set to a minimum of 10, a sale can only proceed at a qty of 10 or higher. If a sale is created for 5, it will not allow the sale to proceed until the minimum qty is met.
Multiple of:
If “Multiple of” is selected, any sale created for this item will only allow the specified multiple of quantity to be sold when any sale is created for this item.
Example: If this is set to a multiple of 10, a sale can only proceed at any qty that is a multiple of the set amount. Sales are possible for qty of 10, 20, 30, etc. If a sale is created for 11, it will not allow the sale to proceed until the qty is adjusted to meet the rule. This is helpful if you are wanting to sell full case quantities.
Important note
Only one rule of either “Minimum” or “Multiple of” can be applied at any given time.
Max per order:
This works in conjunction with the above rules and is used to set an allocation amount per order. You can use this on its own without any of the other rules mentioned above if you’d like.
We’ll use these iHealth Covid-19 tests as an example.
These arrive as 90 kits per case and we want to sell only cases.
Using the Sales Strategy tool located on the right of the product page we will set a “Multiple of” qty 90.
When a sale is created for this item, an alert is triggered if there is an error with the qty displayed on the sale.
If a user tries to proceed with the sale, an error message is displayed letting the user know what needs to be fixed before they can move the sale forward.
This is just one example of how DOit ERP provides you with more control of how your products are sold than ever before!
