Stronger Together in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer

True success isn’t only measured by business achievements, we believe that goes beyond business goals. Real impact happens when we use our time and energy to support meaningful causes, and that’s exactly what we did on October 1st, during a special evening held at Sala São Paulo, in São Paulo, Brazil, in support of GRAACC (Grupo de Apoio ao Adolescente e à Criança com Câncer) meaning (Support Group for Adolescents and Children with Cancer), a non-profit organization that provides free, comprehensive treatment to children and adolescents with cancer.

More than a gathering, the charity dinner had a clear purpose: to raise resources that allow thousands of young patients to receive full and compassionate care at every stage of their treatment. The event brought together individuals and organizations who share the belief that courage, science, and empathy can transform lives.

Founded in 1991 in São Paulo, GRAACC has become a national reference in pediatric oncology, offering state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment, surgery, radiotherapy, bone marrow transplants, and psychosocial support for families. Over the past 33 years, the hospital has treated nearly 4,000 children annually, including more than 450 new cases each year, that’s over one new child arriving every day. Their work has helped achieve an impressive 70% cure rate, one of the highest in Brazil, proving that access to specialized care truly saves lives.

During the evening, heartfelt speeches highlighted the strength of young patients who face unimaginable challenges with incredible resilience. One of the most emotional moments came with the story of Arthur, a two-year-old boy from Boa Vista, Roraima, who traveled to São Paulo for treatment. After years apart, Arthur was reunited with his father and siblings on stage, a moment that moved everyone in the room and reminded us why hope matters so much.

The night closed with a moving performance by the Heliópolis Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Edilson Venturelli, joined by singers Tony Gordon and Izzy Gordon, a perfect finale to a night filled with hope, solidarity, and gratitude.

At DOit, we are proud to support GRAACC’s mission. We believe that being part of the pharmaceutical and healthcare ecosystem comes with a responsibility to improve lives and promote well-being not only through our technology but also through initiatives that truly make a difference.

If you would like to help, you can support GRAACC by donating, volunteering, or spreading awareness about their mission. Every gesture counts, and together, we can continue giving children and families the most powerful medicine of all: hope.
